Summary: After gathering around my Sundays Frame Round Dining Table for one year, I can safely say that this is the kind of well-made furniture that is meant to last a lifetime. While the brand is trendy (in the best way), the design and the quality are timeless. If you want to invest in a truly sturdy and beautiful piece of furniture, I can’t recommend Sundays enough for sustainable, enduring pieces that feel easy like…well, do I need to finish the sentence? 😉
What I Love:
- Sundays Frame Round Dining Table is solid and develops character with age. It’s not precious thanks to being built with real hardwood, not pine or fir, and the thoughtful construction means none of the hardware shows.
- While it’s very sturdy, it has soft edges, which is nice for families or anyone who prefers a modern, clean aesthetic.
- You can gather just a few, or many, around it. I have it set up as a breakfast nook, but I’ve also sat six comfortably for a dinner!
- Sundays uses FSC®, NHLA, PEFC, and Rainforest Alliance certified wood, thoughtful finishes, and plants trees for all the wood used in their products.
- The protective matte lacquer finish absorbs light, which makes it look elegant and velvety, as advertised! It also makes the table waterproof.
- The brand offers complimentary delivery on all items to Canadian provinces and across the continental US. For larger items like my table, they have free, professional in-home assembly and remove packaging for you.
Things To Consider:
- The table can scratch, so you’ll want to use soft trivets and coasters.
- To clean, it’s best to use a simple damp cloth and wipe dry. I’ve found that even using gentle, nontoxic cleaning products can leave streaks — and you definitely don’t want anything acidic (like juice or vinegar) to spill or sit on the table because it can ruin the waterproofing and leave permanent marks.
The large, solid wood dining table has been a prevailing obsession of mine throughout adulthood. I hope I don’t sound dramatic when I say: It’s the axis on which home life rotates. Where kids do homework, where families share their meals, and where single girls like me in their mid-30s WFH and entertain their friends. Because the dining table is so central, a flimsy MDF table just won’t do. For my home, my dining table was always going to be a big investment piece. While my dresser and my floor lamp may still be waiting for an upgrade, it’s my dining table that has been set for the past year.

I knew that I needed something that could function as a breakfast nook but also flex to accommodate a large dinner party — and look stately in my apartment with its extra-high ceilings. Sundays’ Frame, with its sleek design, called out to me.
Sundays is a Canadian furniture brand that started in Vancouver in 2019 and was founded by four friends with decades of furniture industry experience. Their pieces are described as warm and laidback. They’re functional and fit into modern life. Easy, warm. Zero Sunday scaries in sight.

I’m a lover of dark wood, so I went with the American Walnut option, but there’s also a lighter Oak for something more easy, breezy. What’s essential is that both are made from true hardwoods that don’t easily take on dents or dings. It, to borrow an overused phrase, is actually built to last.
That hardwood means the table is heavy, so I was happy that Sundays offers free delivery on everything, with in-home assembly that took minutes. Like, literally 10 minutes. This is a sturdyyyy piece of furniture, so I’m glad the option to put it together myself wasn’t even on…the table. Ha! Anyway, it was a very professional delivery with no hiccups. (And I was extra thankful because I was coming off another furniture delivery with hiccups, let me tell you. But that’s a story for another time!)
The construction conceals all of the supportive hardware so the Frame really looks like a timeless piece of solid wood. It is beautiful in the light and from a distance. Sometimes I sit on my couch and admire it. It garners lots of compliments, especially once people sit down at the table, see the unique grain, and feel the curvature.

The scaffolding that supports the legs is recessed enough that I’ve never run into issues with my legs so much as grazing that structure. My two Hati Home chairs are a touch large for the Frame, but a standard dining chair — say a set of these beauties from Sundays? — would really do the trick.
As for taking care of the Frame, it actually requires less of you than you might be used to. I’ve found that cleaning sprays leave a trace so that you can see marks from where you’ve wiped the table. Instead, using a slightly damp cloth with nature’s own warm water is the best method for cleaning up. You’ll also want to use soft trivets and coasters so as not to scratch the surface. My Le Creuset did a number on the table one day when I wasn’t thinking so I’m gently protective over the table now.
The Frame is $1,650, which is why the quality, the craftsmanship, and the service mean so much. If you love the look of Sundays, and you’re in a home that you plan to stay and grow in, then it is worth the investment. This is modern, dare I say millennial, comfort — but with craft that’s going out of style. Sundays is the real deal.
