Unlike many high-tech biotechnologies, working with fungi is surprisingly accessible. From leather-like fabrics to fire-resistant insulation and styrofoam alternatives, the possibilities are vast. They also explored the futuristic potential of using fungal materials for building habitats beyond our planet.
