Want to know which fruit and vegetables are in season in the UK in December? Here’s your full guide!
When it comes to eco-friendly living, eating seasonally is a great way to reduce your carbon footprint and support local farmers. Plus, it’s a perfect way to enjoy produce at the peak of its flavour.
While December doesn’t exactly offer a bounty of fresh produce here in the UK, especially when it comes to fruit, there is still a surprising amount of vegetables in season this month. Brussels sprouts and white cabbage are at their very best this month.
However, if you’re not a Brassica fan, then worry not – there is a lot of other good stuff to look out for!
To help you out, I’ve rounded up what produce is in season in December. This will help you know what to look out for at your local shop, supermarket, or farmer’s market.
Eating seasonally can be so much cheaper than eating out-of-season imported foods, and it’s better for the environment, so it’s a no-brainer really!
