Abstract
This article on counselling competencies is the last in a four-part series on the inherited blood disorders, sickle cell and beta thalassaemia. It outlines a competency framework that supports nurses, midwives and other health professionals who may be involved in sickle cell and thalassaemia screening and counselling to deliver high-quality support.
