Ever dreamed of becoming a Waffle Boss? Yeah, me too.
I’ve stayed in hundreds, maybe even thousands, of Hilton Hotels. Anytime there was a free breakfast buffet (thanks to the chain’s policy or my elite status), I’d almost always make a waffle. There’s something about pouring the batter, waiting for the beep and then smothering it in syrup that just makes mornings better.
This National Waffle Day is today (August 24) and Hampton by Hilton is letting guests dream up the next limited-time waffle flavor. If your flavor wins, it could actually end up at nearly 2,450 Hampton hotels across the U.S. and Canada.
And the prize? Pretty sweet. You get the title of Guest Waffle Boss, your flavor goes nationwide in 2026, plus a five-night stay at any Hampton and 1 million Hilton Honors Points. Yep, you read that right.
How to Enter
It’s super easy. Between August 22 and September 5, 2025, make a short video (under 60 seconds) at hamptonwaffleflavorcontest.com. Tell them why you love Hampton waffles and pitch your dream flavor. Done.
A panel of breakfast pros will judge the entries on creativity, originality and flavor appeal. Beverly Christmas, Hampton’s first Waffle Boss, is one of the judges, so you know they mean business.
Why Waffles?
If you’ve ever stayed at a Hampton, you know the waffles are the real MVP of breakfast. Flipping that iron, smelling syrup in the air, maybe sneaking an extra one before anyone notices, it’s the little joys of travel. Hampton has tried flavors like Birthday Cake, S’mores, and Lemon and now it’s someone else’s turn to shake things up.
Me? I’m thinking a churro waffle. Cinnamon sugar and syrup. Boom.
What You Could Win
Besides bragging rights, 1 million Hilton Honors Points is enough to make some serious travel plans. Add a free five-night stay and the honor of creating a waffle flavor that millions could try and it’s basically a dream gig.
