The holidays rarely follow the rule: marathon, not a sprint. No matter how hard I try to keep presence top of mind, I often end the day just trying to catch my breath. Between gatherings, gift lists, and the constant hum of motion, it’s easy to forget what this time of year is meant to hold: warmth, reflection, and connection. That’s why this December, I’m craving a slower rhythm—quiet mornings, thoughtful rituals, and evenings that stretch into the night, unplanned and unhurried. With our partners, Haven Well Within, I’m redefining holiday season outfits in soft textures and calm tones—pieces that remind me to move through each moment with ease.

My Go-To Holiday Season Outfits for Every Moment

For me, the art of a slow holiday season is found in simplicity—the ritual of writing cards by hand, the scent of something baking while the house hums with music, or the joy of gathering friends around a candlelit table. It’s not about doing less, but doing everything more intentionally. Every tradition, every outfit, every detail feels like a quiet expression of care.

Below, I’m sharing the cozy, elegant looks I’ll be wearing through it all—from unhurried mornings at home to evenings spent hosting friends. Each one is timeless, tactile, and rooted in the spirit of presence—because when you dress with intention, you create space for the moments that matter most.

    Writing Christmas Cards

I love starting the season by hand—pen meeting paper, your thoughts drifting to the people who made the year meaningful. This is where I really lean into cozy neutrals: an elevated cashmere dress that feels polished but gentle. Add a pair of slippers and your favorite mug—the vibes create a snow-day stillness that makes you *almost* forget your inbox is full. Add a simple pair of earrings or a bracelet with just enough shimmer to make the morning feel special.

    Cozy Night In

Evenings are when I finally exhale. I’ll run a bath—my tried-and-true ritual for slowing down—and then pull on my favorite cashmere pieces: wide-leg pants, an easy tee, and maybe a pullover on top. It doesn’t have to be perfect; it just has to feel good. A few drops of body and an exfoliation routine later, and I can actually feel myself coming back to center. These simple nights always carry me through the bustle ahead. (And really: who wouldn’t want to sleep in a softer-than-soft sherpa eye mask?)

    Decorating the House for Christmas

Tree-trimming days call for comfort that still feels pulled together. A matching cashmere set moves with you as you arrange ornaments or step outside to hang a wreath. I like to layer a structured coat or a wrap over my shoulders for those quick trips outdoors—and a baseball cap or sneakers keep the look modern. The result is effortless: festive without fuss.

    Hosting Friends for Dinner

This is where relaxed polish meets a little holiday magic. I love a knit set with a hint of metallic thread—just enough shine to catch the candlelight. Keep jewelry minimal and your skin luminous, and maybe hair that feels a little undone. Add your favorite scent, dim the lights, and pour something sparkling. When you feel at ease, your guests will too.

    The Art of Holiday Dressing

This December, I’m choosing softness—in my pace, in what I wear, in how I move through the season. Haven Well Within’s pieces are the foundation of that intention: cozy, refined, and made for real life. Because when you dress for how you want to feel, the rest naturally follows.

After all, the best holiday outfits aren’t about standing out—they’re about showing up. For the people you love, for the rituals that matter, and for yourself.
