Travelers headed to the Caribbean this year have a lot to look forward to, thanks to a wave of recent hotel renovations and relaunches across the islands.

From reimagined beachfront resorts and elevated culinary experiences to serene spa sanctuaries, there are properties to suit every traveler – and these recently renovated properties feature an upgraded take on tropical luxury.

Here’s a look at four of the region’s standout resort transformations.

La Concha Puerto Rico, an Autograph Collection Hotel

Fresh off a $45 million transformation, La Concha Puerto Rico has officially joined Marriott’s Autograph Collection. The highlight of the transformation is the redesigned Suite Tower, where the 238 guestrooms now feature modern, luxe interiors with sweeping ocean views. The major renovation also includes standout culinary concepts, such as Tekka Bar: Handroll & Sake and Levant by Chef Michael White (a Michelin-starred chef.) Guests can also unwind at the all-new Elemara Spa & Salon, which is part of the resort’s expanded wellness offerings.

Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Rainforest Golf & Beach Resort, Puerto Rico

Located on Puerto Rico’s northeast coast and near the El Yunque rainforest, Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Rainforest Golf & Beach Resort has nearly completed a $50 million transformation that includes a full revamp of all 400 rooms, including updated flooring, trim and color palettes, as well as new high-end tiles and brass fixtures to its bathrooms. The renovation also includes modernized public spaces and enhanced meeting venues. With two championship golf courses, a new look oceanfront pool area and 10 expanded dining options, the resort now blends classic Caribbean beauty with contemporary design and luxury amenities.

Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa, and Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton Resort & Spa, Jamaica

Spanning two adjoining properties on Jamaica’s north coast, Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa and Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton Resort & Spa have joined forces for a large-scale upgrade. The hotels are undergoing a $20 million Phase One enhancement that will add 948 rooms, nearly doubling the previous capacity. As part of the expansion, Palladium Hotel Group will debut its adults-only TRS Hotels brand in Jamaica; a VIP Family Selection club at Grand Palladium Hotels & Resorts; and sustainability upgrades to the resort property, supporting a projected 1,500 direct and 2,000 indirect jobs.

Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino

Currently in the midst of a $100 million transformation, Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino Palm Beach is adding a sophisticated new beachfront tower with 161 rooms, including 18 oceanfront suites and an adults-only rooftop club, set to debut this fall. The enhancement also refreshed the 358 guestrooms across the existing Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao towers. New and reimagined dining concepts include Laguna, Shore Club, Sunset Bar and Sunset Grille.

Whether travelers are seeking relaxation, adventure or refined indulgence, these revitalized resorts offer fresh reasons to rediscover the Caribbean.
