Looking for zero-waste and plastic-free shops on Etsy? Here are some of my favourite stores on this platform offering the best eco-friendly and low or no-waste products.

Etsy is a great place to go for vintage clothing online, or art from independent artists. But it’s a little-known secret that it also has a wide array of zero-waste and plastic-free shops, all offering a beautiful selection of eco-friendly products for you and your home.

If you’re new to Etsy, or new to shopping for low-waste essentials online, Etsy can feel a little overwhelming at first. It’s a global marketplace, but knowing which shops are UK-based helps cut down delivery miles. Meanwhile, buying directly from small makers means your money supports real people rather than faceless corporations.

Etsy has come under criticism lately, as it’s lost its focus on handmade goods. As such, it’s been compared to Temu. However, there are still handmade gems in there.

To help you out, I’ve found five UK-based zero-waste and plastic-free shops, makers and sellers catering to British customers. What’s more, the majority of them are run by female entrepreneurs.

The Zero-Waste & Plastic-Free Etsy Shops To Know

Here are five of my favourite Etsy shops, selling a diverse range of zero-waste and/or plastic-free products, that you may (or may not) need for plastic-free living.

Some of these shops are ideal if you’re just starting to swap out everyday disposables, while others are brilliant if you’re already a few steps along and want more specialist or gift-worthy items.

    Battle Green

North Wales-based Battle Green offers a range of eco-friendly alternatives to everyday items to help you cut down on single-use plastic. Many of its items are reusable and refillable, such as its refillable dry shampoo. This helps you to save money and cut down on waste.

Its whole product range is vegan-friendly, with all of its handmade cosmetics and beauty products being PETA-certified vegan and cruelty-free.

Worried about plastic packaging when shopping online? Don’t worry. All Battle Green products are minimally packaged in recycled card. Plus Battle Green only uses plastic-free, compostable and recyclable packaging to post your items to you. No sneaky plastic here!

This shop is particularly good if you’re looking for simple, everyday swaps that don’t feel intimidating. Many of the products are designed to replace items you already use, making them especially helpful for anyone easing into plastic-free living.

    Earth Kind Creations

East Yorkshire-based Earth Kind Creations focuses on eco-friendly essentials. As such, its Etsy shop is packed full of plastic-free and reusable goods – from produce bags, cleaning cloths, reusable make-up wipes, cutlery pouches, reusable sanitary pads, and more. These eco-friendly products will help you make the switch from single-use to re-use with ease.

The best bit is all of them are all made in the UK by shop owner Kamilla.

You won’t find any sneaky plastic in Earth Kind Creation’s packaging either. Kamilla only uses materials which are recyclable, home compostable, reusable and recycled.

If you like practical items that work hard and last well, this shop is a great place to browse. Many of the products also make thoughtful gifts for people who are curious about low-waste living.

Gracie Goes Green is ran by Michelle, who started her Etsy shop after watching a documentary on plastic waste. Horrified by the amount of throwaway plastic that leaves our households every year, it got Michelle thinking of ways to ditch plastic.

Michelle started making reusable face pads, which were a hit with customers, so the range has since expanded. You can now find reusable handkerchiefs, plastic-free sponges and clothes, reusable pantyliners, soap saver bags, reusable nursing pads, and a whole lot more.

This is a great shop if you’re looking to replace disposable bathroom staples with reusable alternatives. The products are well made, easy to care for, and designed to be used again and again without fuss.

    Soapdaze

Exeter-based Soapdaze sells a lovely range of vegan and plastic-free handmade natural skincare products in its lovely zero-waste Etsy shop.

From beautifully scented soaps that can be bought with or without packaging to soy wax candles, and pretty hand-knitted facecloths, it’s safe to say I love everything in this beautiful little shop. Its soaps smell delicious. Plus, its facecloths are so soft. I bought one a few years ago, and I’m always so sad when it’s in the wash!

If you’re shopping for a gift or want to treat yourself to something that feels a bit special, this shop is a great option. Everything feels thoughtfully made and indulgent without straying from low-waste values.

    The Natural Spa

Finally, Exeter-based The Natural Spa specialises in vegan beauty products without single-use plastic packaging. These are all made by hand using traditional techniques. Plus Natural Spa carefully picks its suppliers to make sure all of its ingredients come from sustainable sources.

Find shampoo bars, conditioner bars, soaps, bath soaks and salts, bath bombs, body scrubs and more. These are all minimally packaged in cardboard or recyclable glass and metal.

This shop is ideal if you prefer solid beauty products or want to cut down on bathroom clutter while still enjoying a bit of self-care. It’s also a great choice for eco-friendly gifts for loved one.
